Hayley orrantia was born and raised in America. She's primarily an actor, however she is also a songwriter and singer. Many people know her from her character as Erica Goldberg on the popular comedy television series The Goldbergs.' She is primarily a musician. Music is her first love, she claims; it's something she has dabbled in since she was only 9 years old. At the age of 12 years old, music was important enough to pursue a career in music. The singer-songwriter began writing songs at 13 and was only 14 when she made her debut album of covers songs. And the rest is history. Orrantia has Hispanic roots, however she was born in USA. Though she's never spoke Spanish in Mexico However, she is extremely proud of her Hispanic roots. She hopes to protect it through the creation of Spanish songs and taking classes in the Spanish language. "Hasta Verte," a track that she wrote in Spanish is one such attempt. The summer of 2011, Orrantia auditioned for the premiere Season of The X Factor. Orrantia received the X Factor's four "yeses" from the judges in the Seattle live audition stage following being selected from her YouTube entry. Her initial audition was performing as a solo artist, however after "Hollywood Week" the three female performers were placed in an ensemble to go through the auditions. They were eliminated in the fifth week of live show.
