Sara Ramirez

Sara Ramirez has been a Mexican American actor, performer and songwriter for a number of years. In her early years she was subjected to racial taunts by many people in America. In the ninth grade, after a school audition, where she received praises for her voice and acoustics, she began to gain confidence. This experience did not just help the confidence of her, but also altered her goals in life. In the year 22 she graduated at the Julliard School of New York. In the year 23 she began her career making her debut on Broadway in Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films in You've got Mail. But her biggest break came when she played the role of The Lady of The Lake in the very first Broadway production of Spamalot winning not just an award called the Tony Award for her performance but also a flurry of praise from critics. Following that she was cast in the role of the character Dr. Callie Torres in ABC's Grey's Anatomy. This led to her becoming more famous. A well-known performer, she also has released songs and plays. As an activist, she is a tireless advocate for LGBT equality.
